Overview
Every shop, restaurant, office, clinic, salon or warehouse in Kajang, Bangi, Semenyih and Cheras (Selangor) operates under a business premise licence issued by Majlis Perbandaran Kajang. The council's power comes from the Local Government Act 1976: Section 102 lets it make licensing by-laws, and Section 107 lets it grant licences subject to conditions and fees — and revoke them.
MP Kajang issues business and industrial licences with supporting-document requirements that differ by type of business, so the document list for a restaurant, a warehouse and a beauty centre are not the same. Confirming the correct licence category before submission avoids being asked to resubmit.
