Quick answer

Business premises in Malaysia must have fire safety equipment appropriate to their use, and councils such as DBKL require food premises to have at least two Bomba-certified fire extinguishers before licensing. We supply certified dry powder extinguishers, install them in suitable positions, and record the service dates so they remain compliant for inspections and licence renewals.

Overview

Fire safety equipment is one of the first things checked when a business premise is inspected — by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and by the local council when it decides a licence.

For many small premises the practical requirement is certified portable fire extinguishers in the right number and places. DBKL, for example, requires food and beverage outlets to have at least two Bomba-certified extinguishers before granting the licence. Uncertified units, or units past their service date, fail the check.

We supply certified dry powder extinguishers, mount them where they are visible and reachable, and log the service dates so the equipment stays compliant through inspections and renewals.

Frequently asked questions

How many extinguishers do we need?

It depends on the premise; DBKL requires at least two certified units for F&B outlets.

Does this cover sprinklers or alarms?

No. Full fire systems for larger premises are designed and approved separately.

Do extinguishers expire?

They need periodic servicing to stay compliant; we log the dates.
