Case Study · MBSJ Business Licence + DBP Signboard
IDB LIVE (MINES 2) SDN. BHD. — the live-streaming company behind 爱豆星娱 — runs a full-scale operation of studios and offices in Subang Jaya. To operate legally it needed an MBSJ (Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya) business licence and a DBP signboard permit; without them, a business like this risks fines and even closure. ONEKEY BIZ secured the DBP endorsement and the MBSJ licence — and stayed with them through the part most agencies skip: MBSJ's temporary-to-permanent conversion, with no second round of fees.

IDB LIVE (MINES 2) SDN. BHD. (Company No. 202501037616 / 1639025-X), known as 爱豆星娱 · IDB LIVE, is a large live-streaming and digital-marketing company. From LED virtual-production studios and cyclorama sets to floors of live-ops staff, it runs a real, full-scale operation — the kind of business that has to be properly licensed to keep running.
Its office and studios sit in Subang Jaya, which puts it under Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ). To operate legally, it needed the MBSJ business licence — and, for its signage, a DBP (Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka) endorsement. Without them, a visible operation like this is an easy target for enforcement: fines, and even having the premises shut.
They came to ONEKEY BIZ to formalise it properly — and, crucially, to be guided through the whole MBSJ process, not just half of it.

Subang Jaya works like a few other councils here — and it's where businesses get quietly stuck if no one explains the process.
MBSJ issues a temporary business licence first, valid for about six months. The good news: you can already operate legally on it — no waiting to open.
During the temporary period MBSJ reviews the premises and may raise conditions to satisfy. Clear them, and the licence converts to permanent — the stable footing a growing business needs.
A lot of agencies never explain any of this. They hand over the temporary licence, collect their fee, and disappear — so when MBSJ later asks for conditions to be met, the client has no idea what to do, and the licence never converts. We do it differently: we get the temporary licence fast so the business runs straight away, then walk the client all the way to the permanent licence — clearing MBSJ's conditions as they come — and we don't charge a second round of fees for that conversion.
We prepared the signboard and secured the DBP (Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka) language endorsement with a LULUS result — the approval the council needs before it will licence the signage.
We got the MBSJ business licence issued in its temporary form quickly, so IDB LIVE could keep its studios and offices running legally without a pause.
Then we stayed on — clearing MBSJ's review conditions as they arose — and carried the licence through to permanent, with no extra round of fees for the client.
