Quick answer
A virtual office gives a company a professional business address and mailing address in Malaysia without a physical office. Under the Companies Act 2016 every company must have a registered office in Malaysia, and a virtual office address can serve as the registered office and statutory correspondence address where permitted. It is not a place of business for licences that require physical premises, such as council trading licences or CIDB and immigration applications that inspect the office.

Overview
Every Malaysian company must have a registered office in Malaysia where statutory notices are sent and records can be kept. For start-ups, holding companies and foreign companies without local staff, renting a full office just to satisfy that is wasteful.
A virtual office provides the address and the mail handling: we receive letters for the company, notify you when they arrive and forward them where applicable, so SSM, LHDN and bank correspondence is not missed. The address can be used for company registration and statutory correspondence, subject to regulatory requirements.
It is important to be clear about its limits. A virtual address is not a business premises. Council business licences, and applications where agencies such as CIDB or the Immigration Department inspect the office, need a real place of business — in those cases our office rental subscription is the right fit.
