Case Study · Security & Smart-Home Systems
HANTECH ENTERPRISE — a Perak-based installer of CCTV, auto gates, alarm systems, network wiring, door access and smart-home automation — partnered with ONEKEY BIZ to obtain its CIDB Grade G1 contractor registration, so it can take on and bid for installation work legally, without the risk of on-site fines.
HANTECH ENTERPRISE is a Malaysian systems-installation business specialising in CCTV, automatic gates, alarm systems, network & data wiring, door-access control and smart-home automation. Based in Gopeng, Perak, it installs and services security and smart systems for homes and businesses across the region.
It started out the way many good trades do — as a hands-on, owner-operated outfit that built its name one job at a time. The business is registered as HANTECH ENTERPRISE (Business Reg. No. 201603056203 / IP0448093-W).
As the workload grew, the owner decided it was time to formalise and scale up — and, importantly, to get properly registered so that installation work involving construction could be carried out legally, without the risk of penalties. On the recommendation of a past ONEKEY BIZ client who had registered their own CIDB with us, HANTECH handed the job to our team.

In Malaysia, construction-related work has to be done by a CIDB-registered contractor — and for a firm ready to step up, that registration is the key that unlocks bigger, legitimate jobs.
Under the CIDB Act, construction and installation work must be carried out by a registered contractor. Working on site without it exposes the business to stop-work orders and heavy penalties.
To move from small private jobs to bigger residential and commercial contracts, an installer needs a CIDB registration to quote, tender and invoice as a legitimate contractor.
CIDB registration means grades, categories, specialisation codes, personnel and a full set of forms — a real hurdle for a busy, hands-on installer to navigate alone.
We assembled HANTECH's full CIDB registration — company documents, the right categories and specialisation codes, and every required form — and lodged it with the Board on the client's behalf.
Grade G1 was approved under both Building (B / B04) and Civil Engineering (CE / CE21). HANTECH is now a registered contractor, cleared to take on and bid for work legally.
G1 is the entry grade — the foundation. We set HANTECH up so that, as it grows, it can renew smoothly and upgrade to higher CIDB grades and green cards down the road.
Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia (CIDB)
A clear, four-step path from company documents to an approved CIDB Grade G1 registration.
We compiled HANTECH's company documents and all the forms CIDB requires for a first-time contractor registration.
→We selected B (B04) and CE (CE21) — the standard building and civil-engineering pair for a new registration — to give HANTECH a broad base to work under.
→The complete G1 registration was filed with the Board on the client's behalf and taken through the review process.
→CIDB approved the registration — HANTECH is now a registered contractor, cleared to bid and work legally.
CIDB grades run from G1 up to G7. G1 — for projects of up to RM200,000 — is the entry grade, and HANTECH now has a registered foundation it can upgrade from as the business grows.
