Case Study · Beauty & Spa Academy
FORMOSA BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY SDN. BHD. — the Malaysian arm of Taiwanese beauty brand FORMOSA Beauty Academy (福尔摩莎) — partnered with ONEKEY BIZ to launch its first Kuala Lumpur shopfront: signboard design, printing and installation, plus the DBP signboard endorsement and DBKL business licence.
FORMOSA Beauty Academy (福尔摩莎) is a Taiwanese beauty brand — a beauty & spa academy and global B2B beauty platform. Its Malaysian entity, FORMOSA BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY SDN. BHD. (Company No. 202501021128 / 1622541-D), runs a beauty & spa centre (Pusat Kecantikan) and training academy (Pusat Latihan) in Taman Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur — its first shopfront in Malaysia.
Its services span eyebrow embroidery, manicure, lash extensions, facial treatments, makeup and meridian therapy. Entering the Malaysian market, Formosa needed eye-catching, fully-compliant signage and the city-hall approvals to open. They came to ONEKEY BIZ to handle it all.

In Kuala Lumpur, putting up a shop signboard and opening the doors involves more approvals than most owners expect.
A new beauty academy needs a striking, on-brand shopfront — designed, printed and installed properly so it draws customers in.
Before a signboard can be approved, its wording must pass Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) for correct Malay-language use.
The city hall (DBKL) issues the signboard permit and the business licence — both required before the shop can legally trade.
We designed Formosa's shopfront signage, printed it and installed it on site — a polished beauty-centre signboard plus a training-centre banner.
We obtained the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) language endorsement for the signboard wording — the prerequisite for the city-hall signboard permit.
We prepared and lodged the application and obtained the DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) business licence — the shop is legally cleared to operate.
